Breast surgery: Mastopexy or breast
lift
Throughout the years and after pregnancy and breastfeeding,
breasts loose their shape and may sag. This mastopexy is a surgical
procedure to lift and improve the shape of the breast.
When the breasts have small volume, we have the possibility of
placing a prosthesis. It is also possible to reduce the size of
the areola if it is too big.
At The Van Thienen Clinic we do this surgery applying the vertical
technique, which consists in treating the skin separately
from the gland, because these are two very different organs, with
different components and properties. With this technique we can
make the most of the skin's elasticity and it does not require
as many cuts as the traditional technique.
