Professional Development Program (PDP)
The Van Thienen Clinic offers the possibility of joining the medical team in
the specialties of plastic surgery and dermatology, for which this training
and evaluations program has been created with the objective of establishing
the accepted norms of integration of a Professional Development model in the
context of the institute`s growing plans.
The objective of the PDP is to incorporate professional doctors in advanced
formation that possess the personal conditions to learn and implement the
Institute`s values and develop the medical activity sustained on the three
pillars that the Van Thienen Clinic establishes as areas.

Corporate Optimization Program (COP)
Since March of 2005, and in synchrony with the common requests
expressed in the 2004 self-evaluation survey, the Van Thienen
Clinic implemented as an obligatory working activity the
Corporate Optimization Program 2005.

It includes all of the human resources of the Clinic, everyone
equally and without exceptions.
The Program`s mission Professionalize
the operative of the Van Thienen Clinic so as to offer a
better service to the clients, to strengthen the competitive
advantages in the sector and facilitate the evolution of
the company.
The Program`s objectives
-Establish the corporate values in the daily operative.
-Define, standardize and formalize the proceedings of the services offered.
-Form everyone with the concept of the Clinic`s business and the personal with topics of their specialty.
-Define the new system of the Clinic.
-Introduce the Iso quality norms in the company.
The Program`s methodology
Basically it consist of a monthly meeting, from march to december inclusive,
days, hours and places will be determined on further notice,
where specific topics are presented, assignments are carried
out in teams between the areas of the Clinic, technical
conferences are given and the changes and pertinent innovations
are put into practice. During the day of the meeting the
Van Thienen Clinic remains closed to the public, except
the Emergency Room in Chacabuco.
The Program`s Organization
Itīs integrated by the organizers of the program Dr. Carlos
Van Thienen and Dr. Juan Carlos Sturla, and according to
the different meetings, by the team coordinators, the ones
responsible of projects, the doctors who are teachers and
we invite advisers that we feel are appropriate for the
occasion.
The Program`s attractions
Includes awards and recognitions, professional development, and intercommunication
between all of the members of the Clinic.
