Skin Injuries
They can be congenital or they can develop through out time. Most
are inoffensive but, spontaneously or because of external
factors, such as ultraviolet radiation (sun, tanning bed, etc),
they can become skin cancer. Most skin cancers
are curable if they are diagnosed and treated on time. If
a mole itches, bleed, hurts or it ulcerates, it`s a warning
signal.
The ABCD table is a guide for detention of the
malignant melanoma in its early phases.
Asymmetry: One half of the mole is different
from the other half.
Edges: irregular and not well defined edges.
Color: Color changes from one part of the mole
to an other.
Diameter: when the diameter exceeds the 6 millimeters
or when there is a rapid growth of a mole.
